Alexander Powhida is a 1996 graduate of Siena College, where he was appointed to Pi Gamma Mu and Phi Alpha Theta national honor societies. In 1999, Alex received his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University, where he was the Executive Editor of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. Alex is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York and the State of Connecticut.
Alex is an associate of the firm, and a litigation and a transactional attorney whose practice emphasizes: (1) defense of the medical professions in medical malpractice cases; (2) business and commercial litigation, including shareholder/member disputes and non-compete claims; and (3) construction and commercial real estate related litigation. Alex also advises businesses and individuals in contract and business matters, franchise law, business acquisition and sales, and real estate development and syndication.
