Mr. Fortune is a graduate of The Colorado College and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Denver Law Review.

Brooks focuses his practice on the defense of professional liability matters and has particular expertise in the defense of medical professionals, attorneys, and design professionals. Brooks has also developed a niche in the field of technology and cyber matters-a rapidly developing area of law.

Like many other O'Connor First attorneys, Brooks also practices in the area of general commercial litigation, protecting the interests of businesses both large and small. In his practice, Brooks brings to bear creative solutions to the complex problems of his clients.

Prior to joining O'Connor First, Brooks practiced for several years at a well-known regional firm in Denver, Colorado. After law school, Brooks served as a law clerk to the Hon. Elizabeth Starrs (ret.) in the civil division of Denver District Court, where he gained significant insight into effective advocacy, judicial thought, and the economy of dispute resolution.

In his free time, Brooks enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter. He resides in Waterbury Center, Vermont.
